This placement is the perfect opportunity for an individual who is passionate about community engagement, working in an equitable manner, and helping alleviate gendered barriers to success for Canada's women in STEM, especially those who are visible minority, variously-abled, LGBTTQ+, Indigenous, immigrant or refugee. 

The Opportunity


  • Part time assignment (10 hours per week for 10 weeks) 

  • Rate is $23/hour + benefits

  • Time commitment: 100 hours

  • Study runs November 2018 - May 2019

  • Application deadline September 30, 2018 at 5:00PM EST


Required Criteria

  • Experience conducting detailed environmental + data scans and literature reviews for qualitative, participatory, community-engagement based research projects

  • Strong strategic thinking, research, and analytical skills

  • Fluent in English, with demonstrable and exceptional verbal + written communication skills (fluency in French is a definite asset)

  • Ability to work independently, and from a computer and phone most of the day
