The Hub for Canadian Women in STEM

My name is Jennifer Arbour

I am a Producer/Designer.

When I was 10 I wanted to be an artist.

I work as a Digital Media Producer.

I am proud of my education and my career but above all, pushing myself in new directions such as project management and asking for opportunities.

The biggest obstacle I have faced was being careful not to over commit myself because I am a perfectionist and a pleaser.

My advice to women is try everything that you are interested in but don’t be scared to move on if it isn’t working for you and definitely don’t let it discourage you. It’s true when people tell you that you might not end up doing exactly what you thought you would but that is an exciting thing – especially when you find a way to bring your interests and skills together. For me this was being able to combine my creativity, attention to detail, organizational ability and desire to help others.
