The Hub for Canadian Women in STEM

My name is Gina Grossi.

I am a Teacher, Game Development.

When I was 10 I wanted to be an Archaeologist, Artist, Architect, Scientist or Musician.

I work as a Software Developer (Games); Teacher.

I am proud that over the past 14 years in the game industry I have been able to work with a very diverse range of very talented and creative people (artists, designers, musicians and writers) and learned a great deal from everyone.

The biggest obstacle I have faced was remembering to believe in myself and to be confident enough to share my ideas with the team. Working in the games industry can be challenging.

My advice to women is choose a field you enjoy, always work hard, be prepared at all times and believe in yourself. These are the things that will enable you to contribute and excel in any field you choose.
