Eden Rohatensky

Portraits of Strength features women in STEM who have helped break barriers and achieved great things within their industry. These are the movers and shakers making a better world for future female leaders in STEM. Here are the stories of how they’re changing the ratio, serving as role models for girls and young women across Canada, and inspiring us all.

My name is Eden Rohatensky

I am a developer.

When I was 10 I wanted to be a traveling musician.

I work as a Full Stack Engineer at Vox Media, Web Development.

I am proud of getting to speak across the country about the tech that I’m interested in and meeting really great, intelligent and supportive people that are doing the same. It feels great to be part of a community of people that generally love what they do, as frustrating as it can be sometimes.

The biggest obstacle I have faced is taking on too much and not asking for help when I need it. I’ve worked really hard to overcome that.

My advice to women is if you think you can’t do it, just try and see. In all likelihood your doubt is unfounded.
